2023-2024Have you noticed that every day there is this short twenty-minute window where a swift change in atmosphere occurs?
I am talking about the few minutes when the night has already clocked in, but the day is still lingering around a little longer. The leftover blue hints in the night sky mix with the warm tones of the street lights, and for a few moments, everything seems possible. For a few moments past, present and future all bleed into each other and create a potent mixture for imagination. Fiction is no longer a possibility but a matter of fact.
Occasionally, we stumble upon something that extends this magical window a bit longer. In a town steeped in mining history, reminders of the past stack up like a staircase to the North. Stone formations resemble flowing streams, gaping wounds, or lunar landscapes. Roadside vegetation invites into a disorientating maze of colour and light.
